At the end of the Autumn term, Cromer Academy saw Mr Hollingsworth move to King Edward VII Academy in Kings Lynn to take up a new position of Principal there. In the interim Mr Carter has done a fantastic job leading our school through the start of this Spring term. Today we welcome Mr Vincent who will be taking up the role of Principal at Cromer Academy.

Mr Vincent, previously Head of School at Jane Austen College in Norwich, has worked on Jane Austen College's leadership team since April 2018 as the Vice Principal leading on behaviour, attendance and safeguarding, before progressing to the Head of School position in June 2023.

Throughout his career Mr Vincent has been a teacher of physical education since 1997 and has worked in a variety of schools and colleges across Norfolk, spending much of his career both in curriculum and pastoral leadership.

In his career, Mr Vincent also worked as the Head of Education and Sports Psychologist at Norwich City Football Club working with a range of players. In 1998 John joined City College Norwich as a Sports Scientist progressing to a leadership role as a Programme Manager. The sports department grew from 90 students to over 500 during his time as programme manager. He was also responsible for writing the first BSc Hons in Sport Health and Exercise delivered at the college.

Mr Vincent said:

“It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to lead Cromer Academy. I am looking forward to continuing the school's journey and maintaining the high standards already in place.”
